I modelled this two-way radio following a great tutorial by Lauren Thomas and getting familiar with modeling in Modo. Lauren's approach in her tutorial Modo for Industrial Design series was different than others I've encountered so far.
She doesn't do the same old, same old... "hey folks, so press this button..." but instead she explains the process behind it. You can tell that she's been working in Industrial Design and knows about the process how real world products are made.
I've worked in product design for a couple of years with CAD software called Solid Edge and many others over the years, similar to what Lauren mentions in her tutorial series (SolidWorks). So I can tell she knows her craft.
I enjoyed this series and did get a result I'm happy with. As I'm writing my first blog post I realized there is no crew on the backside of the two-way radio. How did that happen? :D
